The following are excepts from “29 NLS”

Natural Law of Sales #3 : Rapport

Once good communication has been established, the next thing to do before doing anything else is to establish personal rapport with the person to whom you are speaking. The ability of the salesperson, entrepreneur, business owner, or professional to establish personal rapport enables him or her to form a foundation for creating and sustaining positive relationships with clients and sales prospects.

Natural Law of Sales #7 : Interest

A salesperson must be interested in the prospective customer and their problems or needs. The discussion is, therefore, about them. And it is your product or service that is also interesting, especially as it pertains to solving a prospect’s particular problems or satisfying their needs.

Natural Law of Sales #13 : Technical Competence

Technical competence on a product or service being presented is vital if a salesperson is to answer questions well and by so doing to establish relationships with the people they are speaking with based on integrity, confidence, mutual respect, and trust.

Natural Law of Sales #19 : Planning and Preparation to Win

Always prepare a plan of action before contacting a prospective customer regardless of the communication method chosen, whether that be by telephone, e-mail, text, regular mail, or in person. And this must also include your plan for overcoming any objections that you anticipate may be raised.
